What is ThermiVa®?

ThermiVa® is new and innovative, non-invasive treatment option that works to revitalize and rejuvenate the vagina and surrounding tissues. Radiofrequency energy is directed into the tissues to gently heat and stimulate the tissues. The ThermiVa® procedure is not designed to be used on women who are already pregnant or a new mother. This procedure was designed to give women who were passing through menopause a new lease on life when it comes to sexual vitality and being able to enjoy every sexual experience. The treatment allows a woman to regain control of her body by correcting what the natural aging process has altered.

Can ThermiVa® Help With Stress Incontinence?

Because ThermiVa® is used internally in the vagina, the urethra may also be affected by the regenerative features of the procedure. The tightening and toning of the tissues that make up the vaginal walls and surrounding tissues can also help to support the urethra. With proper support, the muscles that control the flow of urine can be easily manipulated, preventing stress incontinence and other types of problems that cause a person to leak urine without warning. ThermiVa® is able to rejuvenate tissues throughout the pelvic area allowing the sphincter muscles to maintain better control of both the vaginal walls, as well as the urethra.

What Other Procedures Will ThermiVa® Help?

ThermiVa® rejuvenates vaginal tissues strengthening the walls of the vagina as well as the tissues that support the urethra and other abdominal structures. As a woman ages, the vaginal tissues can begin to lose their elasticity as well as their ability to maintain a moist environment. This procedure re-establishes the level of moisture and also strengthens and tones the tissues that make up the vaginal walls. The problems that are often caused by menopause can be immediately corrected by laser therapies that use radiofrequency to heat the tissues and encourage the formation of new collagen fibers.
